SME TRAINING FUND

Currently the Hong Kong Government is offering grants to small
and medium-sized enterprises (SME) for training related to
their business operations. Such training includes courses in English
and other business related areas. Courses covered by the scheme
must be provided by professional and experienced organizations
and instructors.

Employers and employees are both eligible for respective grants,
which are available to improve the overall skills and functioning
of the company.

For successful applicants, the government will cover 50% of the
training fees or else provide a maximum grant of $5000 for
"Employer's Training" and $10,000 for "Employee's Training".

Applications must be submitted in person or online prior to the
beginning of the course. Companies must then submit an
additional application for reimbursement within one month
following the training.

Importantly, valid applications for the grant will be processed on
a first-come first-serve basis until all of the grant funding is
exhausted.
